We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Technology Support Specialist to join our client's dynamic technology group. This role is pivotal in providing both technical and administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our technical environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical terms and concepts, along with the ability to assist with administrative tasks, making technology more accessible and effective for our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support to team members for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of tech problems.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems, while ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Assist in the maintenance of IT inventory, including the management of software licenses, hardware components, and other IT supplies.
  • Support the implementation of new technology projects, including the preparation of documentation and training materials for end-users.
  • Work closely with IT management to understand and support network operations and infrastructure.
  • Offer administrative support, including organizing meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence related to technology projects.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and advancements.
  • Contribute to the development of IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and security.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of related work experience in support roles.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with network administration, data storage systems, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to technology, with a willingness to learn and adopt new tools and practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for administrative support tasks.
